The LWC Christmas Party is Tuesday, December 13 from 6pm-8pm at Sprinker. All current LWC members are welcome.

If your last name begins with A-L, please bring a main dish.
If your last name begins with M-Z, please bring a salad.

Coaches will be raffling off a basket and you must be present to win! See you there!

May Blades 2011 is just around the corner. Registration is exclusively online via Entryeeze. We are participating in the U.S. Figure Skating 2011 Solo Dance Series and have also added new Preliminary Open Dance event this year.

LWC Online Community Launched
LWC now has an online community connecting skaters and parents to each other. LWC Community login here...

The LWC Community will provide a place for parents to coordinate carpooling during the renovation period or any time. It will also serve as a virtual year-round Skate Swap to buy/sell gently used skating items.

All LWC Community users must register in order to view or post in the LWC Community. Questions or Comments? Please contact Quinna Rogers, or any LWC Board Member and we'll be happy to help you get the answers you need.

Hometown Heroes Performance
Join us at Sprinker Recreation Center on Saturday, Feb. 12 from 11:00am - 7:30pm as we "Honor Our Hometown Heroes." Sprinker will showcase fitness opportunities during an afternoon of dedication to our troops.

DOG TAGS (event tickets) go on sale Monday, Jan. 10!
Admission: $5.00 per person

...Activities Include:
Ice Skating, Puck Shoot, Tennis, Ping Pong, Basketball, Pickleball, Wallyball, Karate, Zumba!, Walk Live!, Pilates & More!

The celebration will conclude with an Ice Skating Tribute to our Armed Forces, performed by the Lakewood Winter Club Skaters. Ice Performance begins - appox. 6:30pm.


LWC Annual Meeting & Board Nominations
The LWC Annual Meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 6:00pm in the Cascade Room at Sprinker Recreation Center. We will be discussing the previous year's Club news, as well as news and info about the upcoming year. We will also be holding the LWC Board of Director's elections.

The LWC Board of Directors election is coming soon. If you're interested in being nominated for the Board of Directors, please contact Jennifer Bowman, Megan Peterson, or Edna Edwards. Pierce County Council voted on June 20, 2010 to allocate $6.1M towards making the necessary repairs to Sprinker that will keep the doors open!

Sprinker Closing October 31
Pierce County announced on June 18 that Sprinker Recreation Center will be closing for good on October 31 due to safety concerns. Read the letter from LWC President to its members

2010-2011 Membership Renewals
It's Membership Renewal time again! You should be receiving your Membership Renewal packet soon. Please remember that membership renewals take two weeks to process and competition and test forms for competitions and tests after June 30 will not be signed until your 2010-2011 Membership Renewal has been processed.

Membership expires June 30th so get your membership packet returned no later than June 15 in order to be effective by the start of the 2010-2011 Season on July 1.
