Terrell Goble
Hello, my name is Terrell Goble and I am pleased to be re-running for a board seat on the Lakewood Winter Club.
My wife and I have two children, McKinley and Tyler. Our family became involved in skating eleven years ago when our daughter McKinley started out in the Learn to Skate Program. Through the years I have volunteered my time working at Ice Shows and co-chairing the vendors for the May Blades competition.
Currently, I am an active board member for the club. I am the full time owner of a computer business, T.J. Computing, and also help my wife run her embroidery company. I hope to continue to bring a valuable business perspective to our club, and work on generating an atmosphere of a club that is available for all its members.
I appreciate your time and hope you will consider me when you are placing your vote.
Linda Hunt
I have been skating for just over twenty years, not having started until I was old enough to know better! I've competed in most of the Spring Fevers and many May Blades competitions; also competed in USFS Adult Sectionals, ISI Adult Nationals and ISI World Team Competitions. I normally volunteer at the Music Registration desk for Spring Fever and have chaired the Registration desk for May Blades for the last several years, was a member of the first-ever Adult Synchro team (Spirit on Ice) at Sprinker and skated in all ten ice shows, as well as last year's Hearts on Ice. (The only reason I wasn't in "Spirit of the Dream" is that there were no adult skaters in it.)
My husband, Steve, and I have owned and operated our own business, "The Video Lab", since 1982, so I'd be bringing a business background to the board. I'm also a member of the Eagles Auxiliary, Aerie #3, and have been asked to run for office.
In my spare time (when not working or skating!), I enjoy reading, working crossword and other word puzzles, traveling, and getting together with friends.
Steve, and I have been married for 38 years (39 in May!), but were never blessed with children, so the "kids" of LWC are my kids.
Thank you for considering me for election to the board!

Chris Medley
My name is Chris Medley and I have served on the Lakewood Winter Club Board for the past 3 years. My daughter, Maizy Medley, has been skating for 9 years and has been a member of this club for the past 5 years. It has truly been an honor to serve on this board. We have been working hard as a group to return this club to its’ former glory. I feel it is important to keep our members informed while creating an environment that is welcoming to all skaters. I also think it is important for our members to develop relationships with each other through club activities in a supportive environment. During this past year we have modified our by laws and membership packets and we are currently working on a packet for new members. I would love the opportunity to continue to help with these projects.
I have volunteered on several committees and boards in our community including Big Brothers and Sisters, Read to Me, Zoobilee, Encore, St. Charles Borromeo, and the Junior League of Tacoma.
I appreciate your consideration. Thank you.
Stephanie Rowland
I started skating at age three and have been on the ice ever since. I have had the pleasure of being a Lakewood Winter Club member for the past 24 years; representing the club both as an amateur and a professional. I am a double gold medalist in MITF and Free Skating and continue to develop competitive skaters to represent our club.
I am interested in running for the Board of Directors to bring a unique aspect from a professionals perspective. I know I can be fair in my decisions and look forward to bringing new ideas, skating knowledge, and expertise to our board. I would consider it a privilege to represent all of our Lakewood Winter Club skaters and members.
Jeff Scott
To: LCW Board and Members
My name is Jeff Scott and I am interested in joining the Lakewood Winter Club Board. My daughter Lily, nine years old, is a student of Stephanie Rowland’s. She has taken lessons from Stephanie since 2004. My wife and I have seen remarkable growth in Lily. Skating has developed a strong self image, fabulous work ethic, and excellent social skills. I will not attempt to hide why I think the skating program has been a success. The coaches are the backbone of the Lakewood Winter Club.
I grew up in Covington Washington. At the age of five I started playing soccer, and baseball. I played soccer for thirteen years and in the process won three state, Premiere titles. I pitched through high school. After college I tried out for a semi-pro baseball league. I enjoyed myself that first year and stayed for the next twelve. I led the league three times in earned run average. I have pitched six times in Cheney Stadium. I loved every minute.
I teach at Washington High School in Parkland. I have been there for the last ten years. I teach Physics and coach. I also run the weight room for the football coaches. I have been the freshmen basketball coach for the last nine years. 66% of the WHS students are affected by poverty. Many of the students that take my Physics course will be the first person in their family to go to college. I love the challenge! I feel that making a contribution to the community is very important. In 2004 I ran and was elected the Kapowsin Water Commissioner. It is an unpaid position. It is a small water district, 40 homes, but still brings many challenges. When the system is down in the middle of a wild February storm, the homeowners call me. I attend church at Puyallup First Baptist. This is where I met my wife, Christine. She was singing in the choir. I asked the pastor what her, “situation” was and asked her out the following Sunday. We dated about a year and were married. Chris had a two year old son, Zane, when we started dating. Being a step-parent is by far the toughest thing I have ever done. Lily was born nine months later. We own a 1905 craftsman home in Kapowsin on three acres. We have two German Shepherds, Axel and Rowdy. We have decided to raise honeybees and look forward to getting stung in April. We enjoy camping and chasing the kids to football games, wrestling matches and ice skating practices and events.
Christine and I are camp directors every summer at a Christian camp near Ocean Shores. We enjoy designing activities and games for thirty third and fourth graders. Chris is usually the “heavy “. We take the kids river rafting, swimming, and teaching them about the love of Jesus Christ. The camp runs Sunday through Thursday and our entire staff is exhausted at the end of the week.
I look forward to working with you all.
